  1. William,
We haven’t a mailing list, really. Just check here for updates as the show gets closer!
    Thanks for your interest,

  2. Hi,
I am interested in attending your show. Can you tell me about launch facilities and parking for my truck and boat trailer please. My boat is a small canal cruiser (18.5 feet) named Gumbo. I would like to stay on the boat.

  3. I just saw your listing in Duckworks. Looks great. I am thinking of coming down with my SkiffAmerica 20 just finished last year. I will be pulling it behind my truck camper. Are there places I can park my camper with shower and rest rooms nearby?

  4. I have been making pirogues for about 10-11 years. i have also made a jon boat. I work at FFH every other week and happen to be working that week and would be interested in “showing” one or more of my boats. Mine are definitely not as nice as some I have seen on your website but I just love building them. Let me know more details.

  5. I am just finishing a 10′ glued lapstrake rowing/sailing tender, which I would like to bring to your fesival and display on a trailer. Can you send me information about B&Bs or other lodging available for that weekend?

  6. Walter,
Check our “accommodations” page at the top…B&Bs and the local hotels are listed. Looking forward to meeting you!

  7. Roger, we hope to be at your 2012 show with at least a couple of our boats, probably the Scamp and the Kiwi by John Welsford. I would also like to promote you on Duckworks Magazine and for our Sail Oklahoma! group which currently has 350 boat building members. I would like to have your show a huge success for wooden boats and for South Louisiana. Jackie and Mike Monies (USL grads and Louisiana natives) Let me know what we can do to help you.

  8. We are very interested in participating this weekend at the festival March 20-22 2012. We are sorry we are late in contacting you. We have a 16ftby8 catamaran and would love to be a part of this. Their are two of us on the boat which we will be towing there. Would you mind sending us directions and plans of the weekend. Looking forward to meeting you.

    Cordially yours.

  9. I am a confirmed wooden boat freak with two vessels: 29 ft. picnic launch and 19.5 ft. Century Arabian. ACBS member with lots of boat cruises under my belt: Hudson River, Tennessee River, St. Johns River and the ICW. Too bad you haven’t concocted a “Bayou Teche Cruise” which would end at the show in Franklin. I’m sure the waterway communities would welcome the adventurers each night along the way. I’m not sure how far the Teche is navigable but I am just offering a thought and a helping hand.
Just returned from the “Wheels and Keels” in Houston which is always a “happening”. Please send me your mail outs.

  10. I just found your web site and sorry I missed your show.I have a 1960 18ft split cockpit Chris Craft and a 1962 18ft Higgins Mandalay and looking forward to attending your next one.Nice pics.

  11. David, thanks for posting. We look forward to seeing you at the show. After the first of the year we’ll be making firm plans and getting things rolling. Look for updates on this site after that.

  12. Please add me to your list of posts. I have just completed a 20 lake skiff from LPMM. Hope to be at your show this year.

  13. Look forward to attending your show. I have a 20ft skiff built at the maritime museum in Madisonville (LPBMM). Can you send me info on parking along with times of your event for each day? Do you have any information on B&B’s in the area? Very excited to attend the show.

  14. Who would I contact about showing my 17′ BN Morris canoe circa 1910 at your event? I live in Covington and would like to display my boat at your event. Please give me contact names / cost etc.

  15. ’56 Cruiser 16′ run about the “SoniaB.” How do I register to show her? I am the original & only owner. Have the original inspection slips, invoice and sales brochure. Ernest

  16. Hey Roger I just heard about there being a wooden boat show in Franklin, so I asked Google and I found you. I’m gonna try and see if I can get transportation with one of my boats and come to the show. I build wooden boats, everything from kayaks to inboard center console fishing boats. If I can’t secure transportation I’ll look and see if there’s a waterway connecting lafayette to Franklin bayou teche and I’ll just row a canoe there. I’ll try and call ya tomorrow to answer some questions I have.

    Thank you,
    Kevin Thompson

  17. Hey can you tell me when the show is planned for in 2017?? I work offshore & I would like to check my schedule. I have recently moved to the area & I’m interested in boats. I used to live in Lafitte, & that is boat country. Hope you can help me out with that info.
    Best Regards,
    Wayne Breaux

  18. Is it too late to enter a boat on trailer? I showed the 14′ fantail skiff at the Madisonville Wooden Boat Show and it was much appreciated. Can I forward a picture for you to review?
